Living in West Virginia

The Mountain State Welcomes You!

Cabin Creek Health Systems is located in the southern, central part of West Virginia. With a total state population of only 1.8 million people, West Virginia offers access to rural, mountain beauty everywhere. Some of our health centers are located minutes away from mountain trails and other great outdoor recreation opportunities.

If you prefer a more city-based lifestyle, several of Cabin Creek’s health centers are located in or around Charleston the state’s capitol city. With a greater metro area consisting of over 400,000 people, Charleston offers a unique urban lifestyle without the overcrowding and traffic issues seen in larger metro areas.

Live in a Vibrant Area Nestled in the WV Hills

Find your adventure in West Virginia!

Charleston, at the heart of Kanawha County, is an eclectic, friendly city bustling with life and many local gems to explore.

Find the best cuisine Appalachia has to offer – one of the three mouthwatering brunch spots downtown and an extensive selection of locally owned restaurants is sure to please everyone in your group! Charleston also boasts several excellent pizza restaurants. Whether you are craving Detroit-style squares, an elevated Neopolitan pizza made from locally-sourced ingredients, or unique flavors, we’ve got you covered.  And for those special celebrations, reserve a table at one of Charleston’s finer establishments: Noah’s, Laury’s, Ristorante Abruzzi, or 1010 Bridge.

Before work, you may find yourself heading to Cafe Appalachia or Mea Cuppa for breakfast or coffee. If the thought of a hot biscuit makes your mouth water, the best biscuits in the South are only a short drive away.

On the weekend, meet up with friends at the local brewery on Brewers Row in Charleston or in downtown Clendenin before catching live music or a show at The Clay Center or Charleston Coliseum. Between FestivAll, the Sternwheel Regatta, and Live on the Levee, there is always something happening in the Capital City!
